This expression is used to indicate that the subject makes someone else do some behavior, it is formed by adding -게 하다 to the verb stem.
With intransitive verbs 'N1 이/가 N2을/를 V-게 하다' is used, while with transitive verbs 'N1 이/가 N2에게 V-게 하다' is used.
1. When used to indicate the prohibition of some action by somebody, the form 못 -게 하다 is used.
2. Two variants of this expression, -도록 하다 and -게 만들다 can also be used to express the same meaning as -게 하다.
