‘ㄷ’ 불규칙

For a few verb stems that end in ㄷ, ㄷ changes to ㄹ when added to an ending that begins with a vowel.

Although the stems of 닫다 (to close), 받다 (to receive), and 믿다 (to believe) end in ㄷ, they are conjugated regularly.

For a few verbs that end with ㄷ and the ending start with a vowel, ㄷ is replaced by ㄹ.

• List of verb not affected by the ㄷ irregular rule, these are conjugated normally 걷다, 깨닫다, 묻다, 듣다 and 싣다.
