Usage

  • We add - after a word that ends in a vowel.

  • We add -이랑 after a word that ends with a consonant.

Korean Grammar in Use

(이)랑 can also indicate the target with which the subject performs an action and corresponds to ''(together) with'' in English. When indicating such a relationship, 같이 and 함께 normally follow the particle. For nouns ending in a vowel, is used, and for nouns ending in a consonant, 이랑 is used.
