A/V-(으)ㄹ까요? ③

I wonder if, shall I, do you want me to

Structure
Vowel-final: 가다 → 가 + ㄹ까요? → 갈까요? (do you think someone will go?)
Consonant-final: 먹다 → 먹 + 을까요? → 먹을까요? (do you think someone will eat?)
ㄹ-final: 살다 → 살 + 까요? → 살까요? (do you think someone will live?)
Explanation

-()ㄹ까요? expresses in question form the supposition of an action or state that has yet to happen.

It corresponds to 'I wonder if...' or 'Do you think...?' in English.

In response, -()ㄹ 거예요 and -()ㄴ/ 같아요 are often used.

When the verb or adjective stem ends in a vowel or ㄹ, -ㄹ 까요? is used, and when the stem ends in a consonant, -을까요? is used. In the case of a past tense supposition, -/- is added in front of -()ㄹ까요? to form -/었을까요?'
